I have been a part of Somerton Gymnastics since I was 6 years old. After graduating as a gymnast here, it was an obvious transition to become a coach. After completing four years of college, I was ready to make this my career. My goal is to coach with passion whether I am working with pre-school age or our competitive team. I can only hope that the lessons I learned in and out of the gym through the sport can be passed on to my athletes.
Graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science and Teaching Certification in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Adapted Physical Education and Health; Graduate of Shippensburg University with Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and minor in Biology.
I enjoy coaching the gymnasts at Somerton and hope to make a difference in their all around growth and development. In addition to coaching gymnastics, I enjoy volunteering at sports camps and programs for children with special needs.
Attending Drexel University
I started gymnastics at Somerton when I was three and made the competitive team when I was seven. I competed for ten years and graduated as a Level 8. I love working at Somerton because I grew up here and I plan to keep gymnastics in my life for a long time. I also love to see how happy kids get when they reach their goals and accomplish things in the gym.
Employed at Somerton since April 2017
Education: Archbishop Ryan High School Graduating 2017
I was a cheerleader for about 14 years. I am here because I always looked up to my coaches and wanted to be a coach myself. I have one brother who just had a baby, so I am now an Aunt! I enjoy tumbling, hunting and fishing!
Education: Attending William Tennent High School
Class of 2018
USAG Safety Certified
I started gymnastics when I was six years old. By the time I hit fifth grade, I started competing gymnastics. After having to stop being a competitive gymnast, I decided to start teaching gymnastics as my way of giving back to the sport and staying involved. I love getting to know all the athletes and helping them achieve their goals.
USAG Safety Certified
Education: 2016 Graduate from Archbishop Ryan High School. Currently attending Widener University for a Degree in Biology
I competed Level 3 at the Newtown Athletic Center. I did ten years in cheer leading and tumbling. I currently am a part of the nationally competing team at Widener for cheer. I love working with kids and spreading my passion for the sport. In my free time, I love volunteering at animal hospitals in the area.
Education: Central Bucks H.S. East, Fordham University – Communications, Magna Cum Laude City University of New York Hunter College – BA Anthropology
I began my gymnastics training at Central Bucks Gymnastics where I had the privilege of meeting Donna. I then transitioned into ballet where I obtained my education from various local teachers with focus in the Vaganova technique. My pre-professional ballet training was obtained at schools such as: The Joffrey Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet under John and Margarita White. I danced professionally with Northern Plains Ballet before enrolling into school. Now a wife and mother of three, I strive to share my experiences and knowledge with the students here at Somerton.
Somerton gymnastics started as a drop-off site for my gymnast daughter’s practices. After her graduation and continuing gymnastics in college, I knew I would miss my connection at the gym. I now manage the office at Somerton, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays. Recently, I finished a sixteen year career as a preschool teacher. (I enjoy interacting with the children that stop in the office with their parents.) My husband and I reside in Trevose, we have two wonderful daughters, a great son-in-law and 2 wonderful grand children Johnathan and Ruth.
