Michelle Brinkman
Employed at Somerton since 1996
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Gwynedd Mercy
College. Pursuing Masters Degree in Special Education at Holy Family
College.
I competed at Somerton Gymnastics for 5 years and at the Northeast
YMCA for 4 years. I teach third grade at Saint Jerome School for the
last four years.
Julie Grosik Halpern
Employed at Somerton since 1998
Education: Bachelor of Science-Elementary Education-Magna cum Laude
I was a gymnast at Bucks II for seven years. I competed for Somerton
Gymnastics for four years as an optional gymnast. I was a regional and
national qualifier for USAIGC.
I am married to my high school sweetheart & reside in Elkins Park with
our two dogs, Leroy and Winston. Besides gymnastics, my hobbies are
cooking, decorating and reading.
Elizabeth Dalton (Liz)
Employed at Somerton since 2004
Education: I graduated from Neshaminy High School. I am currently
attending Penn State-Abington studying Business.
I was a gymnast for thirteen years. I competed through to Level 10. In
my spare time, I like to spend time with friends. I love traveling to
meets and getting to see the State and Country.
Kim Madara
Employed at Somerton since 2006
Education: Bucks County Community College – Associates Degree, Mercer
County College – Degree in Liberal Arts.
I was a competitive gymnast at Southampton Gymnastics for ten years. I
have been involved in gymnastics since the age of two. I grew up in a
gymnastics family of coaches and judges. My daughter is also a
competitive gymnast at Somerton.
Chanelle Lyons
Employed at Somerton since 2005
Education: Neshaminy High School, Central Florida Community College,
Temple University
I was a competitive cheerleader for eighteen years. I took tumbling
classes at Somerton for three years. I am going to Temple for Elementary
and Special Education. I also work at St. Mary’s Medical Center as an
Emergency Room Tech. I volunteer at a local rescue squad as an EMT and
at a fire station. I love working with kids and coaching all sports.
Jenna Stewart-Dugan
Employed at Somerton since 2006
Education: Graduate of Harry S. Truman Community College of Philadelphia
I went to Vanzant Dance Academy. I coached at Joel Baba’s for two years
and at Bensalem for 6 months. I am currently going to Community College
of Philadelphia for nursing and eventually return for my doctor’s
degree. I have been married for two years and I have two sons, six and
three.
Lauren Hofmann
Employed at Somerton since 2005
Education: Bensalem High School, Bucks County Community College
I was a gymnast for fifteen years. In my spare time, I love to hang out
with my friends and family.
Bridget Hild
Employed at Somerton since 1999
Education: Neshaminy High School, University of Rhode Island (Full
Gymnastics Scholarship) – Bachelor of Science Degree
I was a competitive gymnast at Somerton Gymnastics for twelve years. I
finished my gymnastics as a Level 10 and made it to USAG Nationals. I
competed college gymnastics at URI for four years. I love spending time
with my friends and family especially during the summer at the shore. I
enjoy reading and hope to travel more in the upcoming years. I’m an
expert at Guitar Hero … no one can beat me!
