I have coached many gymnasts to National competitions, and full Scholarships for college. I love the sport of gymnastics because it can enhance so many different facets in a young child’s development. It will help with any other sport they may do, it teaches time management, and goal setting, to just name a few.
To relax and regroup, I ride bikes, kayak and paddle board. I love the outdoors and spending time with my 4 legged friend – Kona!

I have been a part of Somerton Gymnastics since I was 6 years old. After graduating as a gymnast here, it was an obvious transition to become a coach. After completing four years of college, I was ready to make this my career. My goal is to coach with passion whether I am working with pre-school age or our competitive team. I can only hope that the lessons I learned in and out of the gym through the sport can be passed on to my athletes.
Somerton gymnastics started as a drop-off site for my gymnast daughter’s practices. After her graduation and continuing gymnastics in college, I knew I would miss my connection at the gym. I now manage the office at Somerton, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays. I enjoy interacting with the children that stop in the office with their parents. My husband and I reside in Trevose, we have two wonderful daughters, a great son-in-law and 2 wonderful grand children Johnathan and Ruth.

to directions, body awareness and so much more! I truly love this sport!
I have two little girls myself and it’s wonderful to see them enjoy this sport as
much as I do. When I’m not in the gym, I am a fulltime hair stylist. I am also, a
fulltime Mom to my two beautiful girls! I love being outside any moment I get.
My goal is to get to every National Park in the USA. If I’m not outside, I love
working out. My favorite quote:
“Life is too short to do anything that is not challenging!”

I have done gymnastics since I was three years old. I have competed at multiple

new skills. It’s great watching how much they grow. It is great seeing the kids
opening up, being silly and having fun. At home, I have lots of pets. I have a
bunny, turtles, a bird, a snake, a puppy and more. I love spending time with
friends and family. I also sing and play percussion at my high school.

Growing up, I was a cheerleader for both St. Cecilia and St. Basil Academy and
coached while I was in college. After graduating and entering the workforce, I still had
the urge to coach girls in the cheerleading and gymnastics world. That's when a friend
from my gym recommended coaching and Somerton and I've been here ever since!
Outside of my full-time corporate job and coaching on Mondays at Somerton, I love
traveling with my husband and friends, going down the shore every weekend I can, and
spending all my extra time with my beagle, Stella.

I’m here as a former gymnast at Somerton. I loved making friends and learning
new skills with my coaches supporting me. Coming back as a coach is just as great
because I get to be the one that helps a gymnast accomplish their goals.

Gymnastics has been a huge part of my life since I was a little girl and I find joy in bringing out the best in every child who shows interest in the sport. The life-long lessons that I learned throughout my 12 years of competitive gymnastics have helped to shape who I am today. My family including my mom, dad and little sister Alexa love to travel and we have a Golden Retriever puppy that we love with all our hearts. I find joy in watching children accomplish their goals both in school and at Somerton Gymnastics and I truly believe in the mission here of teaching the “total” child.

Personal: I practiced gymnastics from the age of 5 to 12. I played soccer for one year, basketball for two years, second year being varsity, and varsity lacrosse for 2 years. I attended somerton when I was 5 and fell in love, years later I am back here to help kids just like me learn gymnastics! My family life is supportive and active, much like the environment here at the gym. Outside of somerton I tutor young kids from grades 6-10 in math, english and social studies and I take part in community service/charity fundraisers. I am most interested in spending my time helping girls and boys learn and grow with gymnastics.
